My Reflections on Education
These may not be the most professional-sounding statements and probably aren’t on any list of best practices, but to me they are so helpful as they remind me to put less pressure on myself because the fate of everything does not rest in my classroom.
Doubt can sometimes be a powerful tool to help us grow. It is good to question our beliefs and actions. It is important to stop and reflect on what we feel isn’t going well or what we feel uncomfortable with.
I really believe in people helping each other. Never let someone fail. Never watch someone work without offering to help. If you are carrying two armfuls of books and balancing a coffee on your head, well then I guess you get a pass. But you know what I’m getting at. Help create the environment you want to work in.
